Dr Caoimhe Clarke

Clinical Psychologist

I am a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist offering both face-to-face and online psychological therapy for adults. I also offer bespoke corporate wellbeing packages for organisations.

About me

Before moving to the world of private practice I spent almost ten years within NHS mental health services. My most recent NHS roles included working as a Principal Clinical Psychologist in NHS community-based adult mental health teams and the Gender Dysphoria service. Prior to my NHS career I held research roles at the University of Glasgow, contributing to mental health randomised controlled trials.

I moved into private practice with the vision of providing high quality psychological interventions to individuals and organisations. I have found this work to be very rewarding and truly value being able to facilitate meaningful change in people’s lives.

Psychological therapy

I aim to create a compassionate, comfortable, and relaxed space where you feel safe to explore your difficulties. Building a trusting, authentic relationship is at the heart of my work, providing a secure foundation for understanding yourself more deeply and working through life’s challenges.

I support people in navigating many psychological difficulties, such as:

  • Stress and overwhelm

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Childhood trauma

  • Anxiety and panic

  • Obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviours

  • Disordered eating

  • Low mood and depression

Approaches used:

  • Schema Therapy

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

I have a specialist interest in Schema Therapy. A powerful approach that helps make sense of longstanding patterns in how we think, feel, and relate. It has not only shaped my clinical work, but has helped me better understand my own responses and behaviours in my life, work and relationships. Read my blog post on “Is Schema Therapy the right approach for you?” to find out more.

Corporate Wellbeing

Organisations flourish when people feel valued, supported, and safe at work. I integrate knowledge and experience from Clinical and Coaching Psychology to develop bespoke evidence- based programmes tailored precisely to the unique challenges and goals of each organisation.

I understand the unique psychological pressures faced in modern workplaces and aim to foster psychological safety, compassion, and growth at both individual and team levels.

Wellbeing Packages

I offer a range of services, including training on promoting psychological wellbeing, stress and burnout management, leadership skills, and facilitating trauma-informed workplaces. I also provide reflective group sessions for staff support and team cohesion, as well as one-to-one psychological coaching consultations for employees seeking confidential input. Sessions can be designed to suit the needs of specific roles, such as those in healthcare, education, leadership, or high-pressure industries. I am particularly interested in the application of Schema Therapy to understanding workplace dynamics and cultures. Please read my blog post on this for more indepth information on how this work could benefit your organisation.

Corporate services are tailored in collaboration with your organisation to ensure they are relevant, impactful, and aligned with your organisations values and goals. Please click here for more detailed information on the packages I offer.
